White dots on Nav screen

Not sure if anyone else is getting this, but I have been getting a trail of white dots showing up on my nav.

About a month ago I got a single trail that led off from a road in my neighborhood, there is not a road there or anything else, just woods.

Over the last 30 days or so, the system has acquired many of these dotted trails in and around the same area.
They are represented by white dots scaled about 50 feet apart and estimate 500 to 1000 feet long.

Any ideas?

They are called "Bread Crumbs". The system leaves bread crumbs when you drive in an off-road/off map and/or unconfirmed area.

I usually get them in shopping centers and new housing developments.

Thanks BC, that would make perfect sense; however, these "bread crumbs" are mapping themselves all over in areas I have never been, that are wooded, and impossible to travel even if on an ATV.
I've gotta go in for the first oil change in a few weeks, maybe the service tech can reset the system or something to that effect.

I think you said they are near your house or near a street in your neighborhood. Double check you car's position to the navi map position. Not sure there that is in the 4G TL.

Or maybe elves and/or gnomes are taking your car for a jaunt in the woods while you're asleep.

Regardelss, they definetly sound like bread crumbs. The question is why are they showing up where they are.

sometimes the GPS system ends up over-riding it self. What happenens is that it first puts you in the wrong place, like 100 feet from where you should be. Then you start traveling and you further place yourself in the wrong direction. Then the navi says the hell with the HDD data and the GPS tries to track which way you might have gone based on the directions the drive gave it. Now the quirky part is that the HDD forgets some of the information and that further throws off your position. It happens to me a lot in the 3G TL because of the new subdivision.

Thought I'd add a few pics.
I have reconfirmed the vehicle location. Was not off by more than a few feet.

The area with all of the "bread crumbs" is heavily wooded and has a creek running through the middle of it:
