Weather updates

I have a 2009 technology package TL with navigation. It seems that half the time when I go to the weather forecast it displays no data and is not updated. The other half it works fine. I have my TL paired with my iPhone, which is always with me in the car. What could be causing this intermittent service and how to fix it?

I have the iPhone in my Tech TL with Navi also, and the weather works for me, but nothing weather related really happens in So. Cal. A Rector scale indicator would be more useful!!! Are you receiving XM broadcasts intermittently as well? This is a dual line of sight satellite system, so if one is blocked, you will get nothing and like it! (Caddyshack)

I just think it's a slow download to the car. probably faster for So. Cal since - "nothing really happens in So. Cal" - so not much to download right?

you know its $3.99 or $4.99 a month each for weather and traffic after the free trial.

I wonder if xm will deal on that like the radio subscription were they have given the $77 rate for a long time

i would think xm would deal on everything as some money from a customer is better then no money....it cost them nothing to juice you up...

The signal is probably being sent to Pakastan or China, then they try to make it out and upload it to XM.
