Is there any other way to get weather and traffic updates without XM radio. I really hate the fact that it seems you have to pay for radio to get a great feature as weather and traffic updates. I never really listened to XM radio when I have the 3 month trial so I really don't want to pay for it, especially since I'm almost always listening to my ipod. Some kind of hack for this? Any help is greatly appriciated. Thanks.

Right. You can just subscribe to the traffic and weather only and not the music. Unfortunately Honda is a large shareholder in technology behind this so they would want you to pay up!

 

Just renewed my XM for $23 and change for 5 months ($4.xx/mo)

And traffic was included free

It gives all the tips to get a better rate for XM. They wont offer $23.xx for 5 months up front. they will want something like $179 for the year.
