I would like to upgrade my radio and screen to the tech package Radio and Nav. Can this be achieved in a 2009 Base model? What might be involved?

 

I think like most cars, it's going to be far better going aftermarket than OEM setup. The base models don't have the ELS system right? So you'd have to add additional speakers/panels to get the full effect.

I think you're better off just getting some quality coaxial or components and then a headunit that meets your needs. There's a post just recently where Metra came up with an install kit.

 

^^^^^ as above after market might be the only way to go. See here for a possible after market dash kit that could allow you to upgrade.

 

People have priced this out before and they've said it would be cheaper and easier to sell your car and buy one with a tech package then it is to install it after.
