TL 4g navi voice text input
I'm having some problems inputing text by voice.
It seems that you can only say one letter at a time and even that gets you a prompt on screen asking if it's the correct letter.
Am I doing something wrong? Shouldn't I be able to say:
M-A-I-N with just a pause between them?
Even when I say "mary alpha igloo nancy" it does the same thing.
thanks

One letter at a time is the only way. Even if using the phonetic alphabet, you will be prompted for some letters. Faster to spin the prayer wheel, I mean knob, to get there. Pay attention to the list results in the top right, since selecting list at some point could speed things up.

I agree with M&M. With phone numbers, you can read off all the digits at once. With addresses, it's one letter at a time. Maybe it's because too many letters have similar sounds, B, C, D, E, G, T

You need to say "CHANGE TO SAY NAME" on the input menu for the street name. After that, it works with better accuracy than I've seen on any other system, and you can just say "Main." It gives you a list, and unless there was some background noise as I was speaking, the street name I've said has always been on that list. It took me a little bit to figure out how to do this.

Any ideas what I might have to do to make that work? I tried this on the street name screen and have a Canadian vehicle

Sadly to tell you......
The Canadian version TL..... you have to say the street name word-by-word..... you can't say the whole name..... (confirmed by the dealer)......the manual comes with the TL shared by both Americans and Canadians...... and Honda never points out the difference between the two different version.
The reason for this is because the system cannot recognize French road name......so Honda just simply disable the "by-word" function in Canada....... Thx Quebec.....
