You could go with a ceramic tint like Huper Optik. I put their #30 on my 2009 TL SH-AWD TECH Polished Metal. Looks great - no interference.

Don't use metallic on the back, but I thought I heard int he 4G the nav antenna and stuff is right under the navi hump, but to be safe I still had my tint guy do ceramic on the back window.

They say the same thing about the 3G. Acura even put an article in their TechLine a while back.

I've got 35% metallic and no Navi or radio or cell phone problems.

Some distant FM stations (90-ish miles) won't come in like they do in my other cars, but other than that, no noticable difference.

huper Optik tint is the king of all tints and nearly a 600 dollar job! If you can't dish out the money, go with llumar or Formula 1 Pinnacle

Wait hold the phone? The baby shark fin is the cell antenna, and the Nav receiver is in the front window, right? So how would tinting the windows cause interference?

it says right in the manual to not use metallic based tints...just because it's not directly in the LOS of the antenna doesn't mean that it won't cause any electromagnetic interference...all of the different technologies relying on RF today have really shrank the spectrum...the fine tuning of these things today really leave them suspectible to alot of things that might not have interfered with something a few years back...

I found a place north of DC that uses the 3M non metallic...it's only 220, has a lifetime warranty for not just the tint, but screwing with the communications...i'm going to go with that...thanks everyone for the input!

I believe we a have a (former?) site-vendor in your area who does tint. Perhaps you want to compare products and prices.

Just FYI.

I have put 3M non metallic 20% down here in Miami. And there have been no problems with anything. So as far as darkness. everything should be cool. also had it on my 05 TL Tech as well, no problems. We need the shade down here.

Cheers,
Dean
