Tint and Nav Question
Tint and Nav Question
Don't know if this is the right place...so if not I apologize....I really want to darken it up a little bit, but im afriad that i'll get some tint that interfers with the Nav....anyone have any experience or fixes?: Thanks!
Don't use metallic on the back, but I thought I heard int he 4G the nav antenna and stuff is right under the navi hump, but to be safe I still had my tint guy do ceramic on the back window.
I've got 35% metallic and no Navi or radio or cell phone problems.
Some distant FM stations (90-ish miles) won't come in like they do in my other cars, but other than that, no noticable difference.
2nd gen guy here, love the 4g - if only I had the $$$ now! anyway I have 3M metalic tint on the sides and back with 0 issues on the navi or the radio. the navi antenna is on the rear deck in my car also.

I found a place north of DC that uses the 3M non metallic...it's only 220, has a lifetime warranty for not just the tint, but screwing with the communications...i'm going to go with that...thanks everyone for the input!
I believe we a have a (former?) site-vendor in your area who does tint. Perhaps you want to compare products and prices.

I have put 3M non metallic 20% down here in Miami. And there have been no problems with anything. So as far as darkness. everything should be cool. also had it on my 05 TL Tech as well, no problems. We need the shade down here.
