Thoughts on Navdy

Would you rather spend the money for the Navdy or the $150/year for the factory maps update?

Not a fan of factory navigation myself. How bright is that in the daytime? I have a tablet in my car doesn't navigation.

Considering the map update discs get discounted to ~$90 after a bit I think that makes the most sense.

It is always nice and bright, the outside light sensor does a very good job, you can also adjust the brightness to your likeness. So far I am loving it, I really like how it integrates through bluetooth with my phone and radio. I also like that it uses google maps for navigation which IMO is hands down the best program for navi. Only downside I can find is that it is a little bulky and you have to detach it when parking under direct sunlight and to prevent theft. I bought it gently used from eBay for $300.
