Steering Wheel Control - 2011 TL

What's the best steering wheel control kit for the 2011 TL non-NAV? I'll be replacing the factory head unit with aftermarket in the near future. Volume is all I really care about, but it would be nice to be able to skip forward/backward as well.

I have the base system and I'm using Maestro ADS-MSW in my car for my Alpine digital media receiver. It controls volume and tracks. Been in my car for 6 months with no issues. Pretty easy to install, just a pain in the ass to get to the oem bluetooth module wire.

Why did you need to tap into the factory bluetooth module? Surely your new Alpine head unit has Bluetooth? And is that the one that allows you to program a different function to be executed when holding a button?

I’m not 100% sure, but I think it sends some signal to the new steering wheel module. I installed it without connecting it to the oem Bluetooth module like the instructions said to do and it didn’t work. Once I connected it, everything worked perfectly.

Do you remember which wires you connected? I'm just about to start on mine and have the same maestro.

Thanks.

sorry I don’t remember man. It ended up crapping out on me a month or 2 ago and I took it out already. Maestro should have instructions on which wires to tap into. I just followed those instructions
