Static solved

Im not sure if anyone remembers the post a while back from me regarding the popping static noise that started in my iPod cable once I got my snow tires put on with no sensors. Anyhow. Not positive that it was the problem but both my itouch and iphone worked flawless before the tire change. Anyhow, I take it in the dealership and the guy listens and hears the static. weeee im not going mad!.. then he plugs in HIS iPod.. NOT i touch.. and the static is gone? I would say its the device.. but I tried 1 iphone and three itouchs and i got static with ALL three... so.... does this make ANY sense.. no but the static goes away with an IPOD

I've had static (to me, it sounds like listening to an old scratchy vinyl record) even with my 5th gen iPod (aka Classic) as well as my iPhone4
