Speaker Only Upgrade
Unless you can find a speaker that is as efficient as the stock speaker, you will be disappointed. Either you will have lower bass output or lower volume. For better sound it is always better to go with a bigger amp. The stock speaker are always design to work best with factory amp.
Speaker Replacement
Someone else on here turned me on to these cheap Infinity's. IMO they sound better and are louder. You can't spend much money on some good speakers if you just going to drop them in without a amp upgrade. Also you want 2 ohm to get the power you need out of the factory amp. These are 2 ohm.

Since you have added a tweeter, do you find that the your system is a little bright sounding??
To me not at all. They sound clean and don't distort at high volume. You can always tone it down in the settings but I think the stock tweets are dull anyway. I should have clarified that the difference is not night and day. It is just better. So in your case it may not be worth it if you want a huge improvement.
It sounds like you are interested in dropping in components. I can't speak for components as stock replacements but usually you are looking at higher end audio with that and you probably won't be happy using the Acura amp. If you go that route stick to 2 ohm and something low wattage.

Why would you put in a 2 way speaker where the factory coaxial is? Did you keep the factory tweeters hooked up?

I had to replace mine due to the plagued 4th gen speaker problem. If you do a search for 2 ohm car speakers you are not going to find a lot out there. Most of them are 4 and that will give you poor power to them. I am very pleased with these as I said they sound better than stock. The truth is if you want to get a big difference from what you got now your not going to get a lot out of drop ins. Is it worth the $100 assuming DIY? I think so and that's just my opinion.
When I replaced my factory Mazda head unit with a my old school Alpine I was shocked at how much better it sounded then the one from the factory, even with the crappy OEM Mazda speakers in the doors.
I replaced everything one peice at a time as my budget allowed.
However, the greatest part of the build was the ADS amp. Nothing beats a clean sounding amp.
I installed a set of Focal components in the front and Focal coaxials in the rear deck of my 2010 TL w/ tech today. They came off my previous Infiniti, so I had them lying around the garage. They made a pretty substantial difference in sound. Normally, I wouldn't have replaced the stock speakers with Focals unless I was planning on adding an amp, but my installer suggested that I try just the speaker swap as the Focals are pretty efficient (~92-93 db) at 4 ohms. I've been listening to tunes in my car for the past 2 hours, and it sounds pretty damn good! The Focal are so much clearer in the midrange, and get much higher than the stock tweeters could ever dream of getting. I had to turn down the treble a few notches, and the bass up by 1 to even out the sound. Even with the stock amp, these things really sing. Eventually I might add an amp and sub, but it sounds so clean right now I don't want to mess with it.
Hope this helps anyone else that's considering a speaker only swap.

Full front replacement with vids...
Hey there I have replaced both of my doors and my center speaker and have found the difference to be dramatic. I am SO pleased with the upgrade and have no complaints at all. Everything is brighter, clearer, sharper and more pronounced and the new Infinity's get just as loud if not louder than the old factory with NO rattle or distortion. I used the same speakers as "Bucktussa" and it made a night and day difference. Here are my video installs I posted to YouTube... They will show you the speakers I used the removal and everything else.
