Satellite Radio Not Working
Satellite Radio Not Working
Has anyone else had issues with their satellite radio not working? I've had intermittent issues that go away if I turn the car on and off, but it's been worse recently. I am 99% certain that it's caused by the aftermarket alarm/remote starter that came with my car because if the alarm is armed or the car is remote started, I have to turn on and off. If I just get into the car, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. The problem is that now it takes turning on/off 5-6 times, even when the alarm wasn't armed to begin with.

I've experienced the same intermittent issues of of where my XM will quit working properly and fixes itself when I turn off the key switch and back on. Like a re-boot. It only happens to me when driving along and changing stations so I pull over and turn the car off. Only happens about once per month. 2009 TL base.
See this thread of mine to show you how to replace your XM reciever. https://acurazine.com/forums/4g-tl-audio-bluetooth-electronics-navigation-294/xm-reception-problem-solved-889293/
I wrote down all the #'s on mine if you decide you need them.

Got my car back from the dealer. The issue is the satellite radio unit. It's $1,000 for the part + 4 hours of labor (at $120/hour). I'm going to stick with the aux input from now on.
