Replacing Rear Door Speakers - Recommendations??

09 TL w/ Tech Package

I replaced the blown front door speakers with the Infinity Reference 5032c and love the results.

Now I have a blown left rear door speaker so I was thinking about just replacing both rear door speakers. Any recommendations?

It looks like Infinity used to make a 3032 but it has been discontinued. They have a alternate model 3002cfx but it is 4 ohms (not 2 like the 5032c's).

I tried to search on Crutchfield for replacement speakers but it doesn't list Rear Door speakers for my model??

Thanks for any tips or recommendations.

Also, how does replacing the rear door speakers compare (effort-wise) to the front door speakers?

@cgar I have the exact same problem. I ordered an OEN Panasonic 3" speaker below and plan on replacing it myself. I did see that someone has a good tutorial here in another section of the forums for removing the rear door panels. I'll pass along any gouge I get when mine comes in and I get it replaced.

Forget the rear speakers. You're pulling the stage rearward. Invest in a good subwoofer to balance your system.

mossman77 - I had to replace the left rear door speaker because it was blown. Plus, the car already has a sub and it's just fine for my taste.

I completed the work this afternoon in less than an hour. The instructions posted in another thread are pretty good.

Does anyone have a link to the thread with instructions on how to remove the rear door panels for speaker replacement? I found the tutorial on removing the front door panels and that worked great.

My factory replacement speakers arrived yesterday.

Thanks!!

Hey, can you link to the front door removal? I have to replace my front spekers as well, the passenger side just blew. Did you have to purchase any other mounting kit or something like that for the speaker?
