When i have the radio on, any am or fm channel, and i put the car in reverse, the radio messes up and everything sounds like it was remixed with white noise. as soon as i put the car back into D or S, everything goes back to normal. wondering if anyone else has that issue, i dont really mind it just curious as to why it happens and if anyone can educate me.

 

its not normal, go to the dealer to fix it.

Probably some sort of reverse doppler effect.

 

It sounds like when you put the car in reverse the ant is disconnecting somehow.

 

MoAbbas - I don't know if you have the backup camera in your TL. This may be central to your issue as my recent experience is that the backup camera in my TL always came on when the car was put into reverse on my AT SH-AWD TL...even during the period when I was updating the NAV software (albeit without the grid depicting dimensions).

My ingenuous aka newbie suggestion is that you see if the interruption occurs anytime the backup camera is activated. If you don't have the backup camera, well, back to square one I guess.

 

i do have a back up cam, just curious... how else do u initiate the back up cam besides putting it in reverse? do the 3 button combo to go into system adjustment mode?

 

not sure myself, probably gonna schedule an appt with the dealer for this coming weekend and see whats up
