When I am on my cell phone (Blackberry Flip) and I get in my car and start it, I lose the audio connection. The phone shows I am still connected but I get no audio from either the car or the phone. Does anyone know how to avoid or fix this besides not already being on a call when I enter my car? I can't seem to transfer the call to the car. Has this happened to anyone? Thanks.

 

can someone try it for me? make a call and then remain on it while you start your car and see what happens. Thanks.

 

Your description is correct. But one time I was in no rush so I just sat there in the parking lot and after about 5-10 mins. it automatically transferred from my BB to the car.I think there's a way to transfer the call. I remember reading it in the manual but too lazy to look it up.

 

OK, I'm curious so just looked this up in my manual (non-Tech).Automatic TransferringThis function allows you to transfer acall automatically to the HFL system.If you get into the vehicle while youare on the phone, a call will betransferred automatically to the HFLsystem when you turn the ignitionswitch to the ACCESSORY (I)position.With this function activated, you canalso make a call by dialing with thenumber keys on the phone whichhas been paired to the HFL system.The automatic transferring functioncan be set to on or off.I think this feature defaults to on. I wonder if you have to keep your key on Position I first so the system can sync and THEN start the car and not start the car right away.

Thanks for checking. I will try to find it in the manual and I will experiment. I was not sure if is was a phone issue or a setting on the car. We may have to keep it in ACC position for it to sync then start the car.

 

I have the tech, but when I'm on the phone I just start the car and within 2 seconds it's transferred to the HFL. I do not put it in accessory first -- I just start the car. When I stop the car, I just pick up the phone and get out and it transfers back. I have a cheap-o Samsung phone. And yes, calls can be dailed through HFL or through the phone, which is needed if you need to punch in an extenision, code number, etc.

 

Thanks. I will try again tomorrow. According to the manual the non tech version does have a way to set auto transfer on and off but the tech version does not. Not sure why my phone does not transfer the call when I start the car. Will update tomorrow.
