So my "favorite" dealer in Texas did not clear/reset the NAVI. Previous owner set a PIN. How do I reset that? Read somewhere that only a dealer can do that? Yeah, I should RTFM in full, but I thought I'd post here cuz it would be quicker!

 

Dealer has to reset/remove the PIN - can't reset to factory default on your own once you define a PIN. Have to enter PIN to do that and I don't have the PIN because it was set by previous owner. Been to the dealer here in NE once already. They needed NAVI S/N and did not know how to locate it. I came home and figured out how to find the S/N using on screen options/prompts. Now have to go back to the dealer again so that they can hook up to the NAVI with a laptop and reset system back to factory default. Such fun. When all is said and done I am writing a letter to the GM of the dealer in Texas.
