What do you have right now?
Is your Acura-Link set up? That's how you might have gotten the message.
I am yet trying to figure it out with ATT.

don't have it set up with acuralink through my phone, as far as I can't tell that's not possible with the current generation of phones, I'm guessing it came over XM somehow

many of us were having problems where the phonebook was constantly being imported; you can read about it in this thread:
https://acurazine.com/forums/4g-tl-audio-bluetooth-electronics-navigation-294/constant-phonebook-importing-2012-tl-819348/
this software has been out for about a month or two now and a few of us have already had it installed; fixes the importing problem. just have it done next time your in for service

It mentions addressing voice tag issues too. There is another thread here mentioning all the problems with that feature. One of the latest responses was that the dealers now have updated software, so I guess this makes it official. Got the message on my nav yesterday.

Yes, it is real. I had the update applied a couple weeks ago before the message arrived. It fixed my HFL problems--I was the OP on the "constant importing" thread referenced above.
I was pleased to see not only that they provided a software update (somewhat surprised, too), and pleased to see the AcuraLink message as well.
I recommend getting the update.
