I just purchased my 2009 Acura TL FWD and noticed the passenger side door speaker subwoofer is blown. The rattling is driving me crazy. Can anyone recommend a mid range price good quality speaker? I assuming I should buy two then just replace one speaker?

 

If all you are doing is replacing that one speaker I would just replace with OEM. If you are wanting to go ahead and upgrade the entire system now would be the time but that is a decision you will need to make. You will not experience significant gains just by changing speakers, you will need to amplify them to see a difference (IMO).

Thanks for the link. I did a little more research and see that the speakers are covered under the warranty. I might be interested in upgrade in the future. I would like to listen to a DVD audio disc.

 

If it were me I would do a replacement speaker under warranty. It is my understanding that the slamming of the door is what is causing speakers to rattle. I know since I have been careful closing my doors, I have not had any issues since I had the speaker replaced.
I agree with the OTP, you will not gain much getting better speakers without more amplification. In fact you will probably come out worse,
