Does anyone know what the latest version of the software update included with the map update? I personally don't need the map data updated, but interested to see if there is any system software update past version 2.12. This can be checked by INFO button > Other tab > System/Device Information, if you have updated the latest map data. Thanks in advance.

 

Can anyone conform if the US disks will work for a Canadian Acura?

The nav system is the only thing that I do not love about my TL. I do not consider it to be user friendly, and I am not normally baffled by techy stuff. I don't mind spending the money if it will help. I have software 2.70 in my '14. I purchased it last summer. The Nav SUCKS as is. I don't understand how an update will help. It has nothing to do with new roads. Every time that I try it, the system takes me off course by a wide margin. I would love to use it instead of my phone, but I don't want to spend the money and have it continue to do act stupidly.

 

Check out the NavTool. It's pretty good. I think there was some customer support issue earlier in their life, pretty good right now though. I'm looking to sell mine (to upgrade) but you can get a new one for around 400-500ish..

Most car navigation systems suck.

 

So it's been running with disc 1 and "unsupported" showing for about 40 minutes. This doesn't seem right to me. Thoughts?

It would be difficult to put a value to Navigation update cost unless we compare it to other brands. How much does it cost to update navs on a Lexus, Mercedes, et al. ?

My 2014 TL still has original Navi database map and I would like to upgrade it with 2021 dice. Does anyone know if the $99 promo expired already or it is still coming up? At $99 I am willing to update it once in the car's lifetime, but $149 is pushing it.

 

It was on sale before I ordered my for my 2009 TL. Unfortunately, for 2009-2011 owners, it is the last navigation update for us.

 

In the last few years the $99 sales have been coming in around the May or June time frame.
