? Navi maps/traffic accuracy in Boston
? Navi maps/traffic accuracy in Boston
I've been driving into/out of downtown Boston for the past week and have noticed two things. Have you guys noticed this in your areas?
1. The navi traffic flow is often inaccurate. On I93 and I95/128 the degree of congestion is correct about a third of the time. How is traffic flow calculated?
2. The navi maps are not entirely accurate. The Big Dig changes downtown are not included in the current navi maps. The system does not know that the elevated I93 is now underground and doesn't recognize that there are new surface roads.

hmmm. i'm out in western mass, near springfield, i go out there on a regular basis for work, but haven't noticed because i know where i'm going. next time i go out there i'll turn on the navi and check.
