I just updated to the new 2012 RED dvd for my 09 TL Tech and my previous destinations are gone. All went well with the install but they are gone. Does anyone know if that is normal and if I can retrieve them? Also, when I go to enter an address it always starts with California as the state. I live in NY and most times I am looking in NY. It does not seem to revert to the last state like it used too. I have to scroll through all the states every time. Any Ideas? Thanks.

 

The directions clearly state you will lose your previous destinations.

On a side note, did you use the background update or the immediate one? Just curious which is best to try.

Found it. Thanks. I was using the online instructions and not the booklet and the online instructions did not say that. Wish I had added all my addresses to address book before I updated. Note: I installed the 2010 RED update 2 years ago and previous destinations were kept so it never crossed my mind. I did a full power update with car running. Took 2 hours. Wanted it done without starting and stopping.
