Hello to everyone - I've been lurking here for a while but decided to create an account after picking up my 2010 TL A-Spec a few days back.

My father has a ZDX, and one of the best iPod features was the voice command search. After yelling "iPod Search" at the dashboard countless times, I figure that the TL doesn't have this feature. Is there any way to get a Navi Software upgrade, or do something to enable this feature?

 

No, that's a "luxury car" feature. It's not available in the "smart luxury" TL.

 

.... I paid nearly $56k incl options for my TL A-Spec... and Acura doesn't deem it a "Luxury" car. I'll go cry in my corner now.

 

Really? I can't stand iPod search function on my 2009 TL. It's so frustrating. I have 2,000+ songs on my iPod and when trying to do a search, I'm in shock that to search I have to start at "A" and then scroll incessantly until I get to the song I want that happens to start with the letter "S." It's so user-unfriendly that it's hard to imagine anyone at Acura actually tested it for usability in advance. It's embarrassing as well when I have technophile friends in the car with me and they see how primitive the search function is.
