Hey its been awhile since i've posted....but anyways..when i hit playlist on the acura it grabs the ipod's playlists just fine....but when i go to sort by artist or album instead of playlist all i get is a blank screen....can i not do this?

 

You should be able to. I have no issues using my iPhone.

 

interesting....it never works...i've tried over and over....maybe its the amount of artist or albums i have cuz its a lot????

 

If you have a lot it takes a long time for it to load up. Maybe it's out of memory.

 

i actually got albums to load...had to wait awhile....but artists just says "no entry exists" and i had it there for like 30 mins..still nothing

 

This works fin eon my 8gb iphone or my 120gb ipod.

indeed i do...thanks for the help, at least now i know its suppose to work..i'll keep troubleshooting.....i wonder if the fact i use mediamonkey instead of itunes has anything to do with it

 

It's not mediamonkey. I got a 160g ipod classic and loaded up 145g of full albums, made sure everything was tagged correctly (a month of work and total pia) but i finished it. Artists are totaly blank. Scrolling tru 145g of albums takes litteraly, 35 minutes of continuously scrolling the wheel just to get to 'M'. I called Acura and once again they said they never heard this issue before and to bring it to dealer, naturally the dealer said there is nothing wrong but I have too much music on it. If I could return this car, I would, so many lacking features in the audio side.

 

Yea thats not right. But i used itunes to load my 120gb. It is a pain to scroll thru so many artist or albums but all the fields are populated correctly.
Load some thru itunes and see if it shows the artist then. Its either your ID tags are bad or the cars software.

 

WELL.. it has happened to me.

I have a 120gb.. but only had like 60gb but artist worked.
I just filled it and now ARTIST will not load at all.
play-list, songs, albums all load fine..
guess acura has a limit on what it can read to a point.

I think it has around 17000 songs now but i can t sort by artist so its useless to me.
Guess i need to remove some music and try again.
