Is there an alternative to ipod? i tested sound quality between ipod and same music playing from a memory stick in my car. Seems to me that the sound is better from memory stick. especially when you have the pro-logic on. Highs are clearer and bass not as muffled. i think it has to do with ipod having a built in tuner (yes i have equalizer on off). i have a 2005 ipod, not sure if newer models have same issue.
Only prob is organizing the music on memory stick. I have my music stored on itunes. i just copy and paste into stick. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

 

If you are playing identical audio files from the ipod and the memory stick, there should be no difference. If you are sure it's the same file (same bitrate and everything), and you think there is a big difference, you may have a defect in the ipod.
