iPod

Sorry for posting all my troubles here, I feel like a crybaby lol. I'm having a minor weird glitch when connecting my iPod to the TL. I go into Playlists and select the one I want to play. In this case, it's a mix of various music that appears elsewhere on the iPod on the full album (as another playlist). When I play the first song, it immediately takes me to the full album and plays THAT, rather than just playing from the playlist. Then when the song is over, it moves to the next song on the album, rather than the next song on the playlist. Am I doing something wrong with the setup of the iPod, or is this just a glitch in the matrix? I looked on the iPod to set up full albums in their own respective section, rather than every single album and mix being a playlist, but I don't see any other way to set this up on iTunes other than setting every single thing as a playlist. Any ideas?

Also, I'm using the USB connector to connect my iPod to the TL. Are there any advantages/disadvantages to doing it this way rather than through the AUX jack?

As always, thanks for the help. Don't know where I'd be without you guys . Probably driving a Kia lol.

The only thing I can think of... ok I don't have anything... does the same thing happen if you listen to the playlist with earphones?

Nope. On the iPod, it plays as it should. You can play the playlist song by song, without being taken to the album the song is actually on. If this is a thing with the car, it would seem to be a MAJOR glitch, as it makes playlists completely useless, and apparently the iPod works only based on playlists.

It's gotta be your playlist setup. I assume your using iTunes to manage your Pod? Make sure the playlist is setup correctly in iTunes. The tabs on the side of iTunes that re-arrange songs in numerical and alpha really mess things up quickly. As for the jumping from track to track that's just odd, a playlist should play through? Check every possible setting. How does it play when not in the TL?

I think the problem is the way I had the music. For instance, I'd create a new playlist, a Linkin Park album. I'd drag and drop the album from windows into that playlist. Then I'd create another playlist of a general rock mix, and drag that from windows in there. So now, there are doubles of certain songs on the ipod, and I think it was getting confused as to which version of the song it was playing, the album version or the mix version. I think I fixed it by deleting ALLLL the doubles, and creating the rock mix playlist by dragging and dropping from within iTunes so as not to create doubles. I think this worked, but didn't have time to test it more tonight. Will let you guys know for future reference. Thanks for the replies =)
