iPhone update 3.0.1
iPhone update 3.0.1
Well, I just downloaded the latest update of the iPhone 3G (3.0.1) in hopes that the update would rectify our iPhone iPod sync portion, and still no change to the "unplayable file" prompt on the Navi of the 09 TL. However, I did figure out why it is dropping on my phone and TL connection. The Wifi is shutting off the iPod to TL sync. If I turn off the Wifi or use the airplane mode, the iPhone sync's perfectly to the TL, every time?
Also to report that the address book import worked fine, and the bluetooth audio and sync is working fine too.

The 3.0.1 update just patched up a nasty vulnerability the phone had, no real feature change. The 3.1 update (due in around a month) is more of a feature rich update, and i've noticed so far that the 'unplayable file' problems are gone, in exchange for just a little longer load time. I'm still not thrilled with how the phone handles the 'handsfreelink', but thats been that way since the 2.0 software...the 3.1 beta handled the phonebook import with ease yesterday, so thats a plus as well

MMS is still inactive and they patched the workaround that was out
, they still have a month or so to hit "late summer availability" so we'll see...no issues whatsoever syncing with the new firmware (so far :X)

Guys, do you know if the new software update (that's coming in a month) will address the battery life issues? I've asked a few Apple people. The answers I've gotten are:
1. Hopefully
2. I'm not sure
3. I didn't know there was another software update coming.

Hold the phone, I was wrong. The reason I had no issues with the new 3GS iPhone, is because the bluetooth was off. With the bluetooth on and synced up, the iPod cuts off on the initial plug into the data port. So the drama continues.
Steve, makes sure you hit the left button, the right button cancels the call. I've done that before, as the icons are not clear which is which.

Thanks bmode! Actually, for me, what is happening is that when the iPhone is linked to the TL, I answer the iPhone via the HFL, the HFL would cancel the call-even before it answered the call.
