How to change default state of residence in navi

How to change default state of residence in navi
Just upgraded to latest purple disc navi software and find that when searching for an address, I have to first change the state from "California" to my home state of Florida. Is there a way to change the default search state so searches always begin with my home state, not CA?

Well, never mind. After about the 2nd or 3rd instance of using the address search function, it came up with my home state as the default location and not California. Don't know how or why it did this on its own, but it works now.
