handsfree upgrades

Just to let you know that there is a dealer patch available for those who are having some problems with phone sometime loosing connection to bluetooth. I had problems with my storm which if I did not press on the enter to accept the gps crap, I would not be able to dial out, but would receive calls. If you are at the dealer ask them for the handsfree update.
It works great now.

upgrades

I guess it is the 09 TL's. This is what I am driving and had problems with. If you are not having any problems, than I understood that they will not do the update. What happened was that I brought in my car for some service and I asked him if there was any updates avail for the Handsfree. He said there was and that it is only for phones which had problems connecting to the HF. I told him that this was one of my problems, that if I did not hit enter after a specific time of starting the car, the phone would not fully connect. I was only able to accept calls, but no outgoing calls. ( I wrote about this last year) After the upgrade, all work 100% so far.

Good to know. I've been having connectivity issues. I'm headed to my dealer now to have my center console replaced. I'll see about getting this update too.

I would appreciate this info too. If anyone can provide info to identify this update to the local service department, that would be great. I posted about a month ago about a problem with my phone and HFL, and it remains unresolved...maybe something that an update would fix.

Thanks!
Marc

Bueller, Bueller? Anyone, Anyone? ***crickets*** does anyone else here know what the exact name of the patch is that the dealer was able to do. I asked the dealership about the HFL update/patch and they know nothing about it nor can they find anything on the system that the techs use.

delay

Sorry for the delay, i am on vacation. Once I get back next week I will ask the service for that information. I am surprised that the dealers do not know about this. I just asked the service guy and he quickly replied with the question of connectivity issue. Since the upgrade, I was trying to duplicate the problem, but no go. This upgrade fixed all my problems. later...

My dealer told me there was not a patch that he was aware of and they ordered me a new unit to be installed? How do they apply the patch mentioned, is it via usb?

thanks

Never asked about how they upgraded it, all I know is that I had some problems before and now all is fine. Now remember that my car is an Dec/09 which maybe had an old revision. Check and see what revision you are at.

igo,
I saw in another thread you had an issue a while ago with the HFL call display not working properly with your BB. Do you still have this issue? I have an 09 FWD Tech and I only get the number displaying on the call display, never the name in the address book that is sync'ed to the car.

Same here - is the screen supposed to show you both the name and the number?

I don't get it, how can a system in 2009 not figure out to put 2 and 2 together and match the number with the name in the address book?
