Got a offer from XM in the mail today...
Please PM with the info. I'm interested. Yes, I realize I can follow the acting script posted elsewhere but if it's a simple code it'll be easier. Don't want to talk to those high pressure operators - waste of my time.
The $77 is for XM only. You can get a $125/yr deal for the whole package if you stand your ground.
I got one of those letters too. My code was my radio ID, so it's possible you could give ol' benzboy a freebie if you aren't careful!

The acting script is not a real script, I have done it a few times, you basically ask the rep that you knwo they send you an offer if it expires and you want to save both parties the trouble and for $77 you'll extend now. Only once have I had to ask for customer retentions people. Since I sold the remaining months with several of my cars and coverted the names at sale each new TL I got was a NEW XM subscription so since my first 2004 I have not paid more than $77 for a year of XM.
10-4 on that. I'll make sure they have my name and address. I have about two weeks to go so I'll see if I get any letter of sorts.

*Update*
I called and tried to used BenzBoy's $77/year code and the operator said it was tied to his radio. So I started to complain that how come I didn't get that offer in the mail? Like WTF?
OK, I didn't say that. Well instant $77/year offer (plus $11/year royalty fee). It as an easy transaction and they give me the remainder of the 90 day trial before the $77 kicks in and not from the day you sign up (today). That was pretty cool!

Royalty fee is something like 11-12$. I just signed up for the $77 (first time) and I had to pay the fee though I've read elsewhere that you can argue hard and they may drop it. Online, my account says "XM Everything". I got weather and traffic (checked it this morning again) which I thought was not included in the $77 package. I'm not complaining!
