Electrical Modification for Non-Tech Package

Since I didn’t get the tech package to save money, I figure I invested in some aftermarket parts that will provide close to the tech package features without the dealer’s cost.

Proclip $68.48 from proclipusa.com

PYLE PLCM103 10.2'' Rearview Mirror Monitor $89.24 from Amazon

Pioneer ND-BC4 Universal Rear View Camera $199.99 from Crutchfield

Garmin nüvi 3790LMT $499.99 from Crutchfield

HID Kit, 35W, H11 6000K for Fog Lights $49.38 from DDM Tuning

Labor for Pyle monitor, Pioneer camera, Garmin hardwire, and HID fogs lights $200.00 from California Tint

Total $1,057.7

I also have a pair of brand new:
V-LEDS Switchback 60 M-SMT Turn Signal Bulbs. Type 2 Dual Color Changing 6K White Amber.
6 OHM 50W 2 Bulb LED Load Resistors Turn Signal Blinker Fix with Mounting Plates.
Not sure If I want to install these bad boys, probably will try to sell them

NOTE: When installing a bulb on your courtesy light (door), REMEMBER to disconnect the housing first. Had an installer who tried to install an LED for me without taking the housing out. That mistake caused me a burned out Mutiplex Integrated Control Unit (MICU) and a lot of headache trying to get it fixed.

I know its an old thread and a fairly stupid question, but does the review mirror monitor stay on full time? What was involved in doing this mod other than running a camera to the back and a line up through the passenger compartment?

The rear view should only come up whenever the transmission knob is shifted to "R".

There should be a dedicated wire, from the rear camera kit, that must be connected to the "R" position sensor.

It doesn't have to be connected to the R position sensor. It can be connected to the reverse lights, so when they activate, the camera automatically turns on and the input switches to rear view cam.

To the OP: Did you consider adding the oem rear spoiler and camera with the rear view mirror? I would considering that if it can be done..

you should get a tech spoiler and tap the wires to make the rear camera work on the tech.. that way its stealth and you get a wing along with it.

Nice set up! For that PYLE Rear view mirror monitor, how did you mount it? Is it a straight clip on? It would be nice if it was a clip on , to use the existing OEM mounting some how for a cleaner look.
