DVD-Audio disks skipping

I have over 100 DVD-Audio disks which I started collecting in 2008 when I got my first TL. Many of them will skip and then get ejected when playing on my 12 TL. I am not sure if the DVD player is going bad or whether the disks are degrading due to them being in my car for so many years in extreme temps. I have not noticed this problem with any of my CDs. The skipping also happens on some new DVD disks I burn. It does not seem to matter what brand of disk I use.

Does anyone else have this problem? The head unit in my 12 TL is my only DVD-Audio player, so I have no way to test these disks on another player.

I'll try and see if it makes a difference. It's possible that the disks are degraded but can still be played with a cleaner laser. Brand new disks fresh out of the box play without skips.

I said new discs that I burn sometimes skip. The new ones that are pre-recorded with music from the factory do not skip.

You could find a friend with an Acura or go to a dealer with one and put your skipper in to try the disc. Some DVD-A discs are dual layer which can make them harder to track.
What format are the music files you are burning yourself and why not just use a USB memory stick?
