Just picked up a brand new 2014 TL; I have it paired to my iphone 6; no connection issues but the noise on the other end is horrible! people think i'm in a wind tunnel at all times/all speeds; is this normal??? should i have the dealer take a look and maybe replace the mic? help!

 

yeah that can't be right. sounds beautiful in my 2010. something must be off. I have clear conversations even with the sunroof open.

 

Not sure if this is even possible but make sure your AC vent (or defroster) isn't blowing on the mic.

 

Maybe try a different phone.

 

Sounds like something is wrong. My 2010 w/ iphone 6 Plus works great.

 

I have an '09 so I'm not sure if they've upgraded the bluetooth mic/mechanism, but when I use bluetooth on a call the person on the other line right away can tell that I'm driving. A lot of times I have to repeat myself. I always close the windows and turn off AC/heat.

 

Must have something to do with the configuration. I always use handsfree bluetooth. In my last car people would notice, in the TL no one does. In fact I often ask some close buddies "can you tell I'm in my car on Bluetooth?" since I was so used to it not sounding good. They say it's noticeably different than when I'm talking right into the handset, but still very clear and good sound quality.

 

Same here. Mine works very well. Better than the BT in our '13 Accord. That one always works, but you can definitely tell the call is coming from a BT car set-up.

 

I have a BB Q10 paired to my 2012 TL/SH/AWD/Tech; works perfectly!

 

i had the same setup... recently moved from Q10 to Passport

 

finally took it to the dealership; they special ordered a microphone replacement; lets hope that fixes it when it gets in

 

so had the dealership put in a new microphone; it really hasn't helped the problem; its a little better; people still tell me i def sound like im on speakerphone; while they were installing it, I drove a new Acura TLX and paired my phone with it; people said it sounded MUCH better.......woe is me
