no, when u pair new phone, u will upload the list from your new phone. However you will retain your speedlist if you made one

You will if you load your old contacts into your new phone.

the phone lists were manually saved to the car and not imported from the phone as i dont have that feature because i dont have tech

therefore do i still need to create them again with the new phone?

I had an 06 with BT. What was stored in the car was retained when I paired a new phone to it.

Why anyone would buy this car without the Tech package is beyond me. It's akin to buying a convertable but never putting the top down.

One of the best parts about owning an Acura is getting the great technology that comes with it.

Boss2k, not sure about the old phone contacts to newly paired phone, sorry, but Acura says the incoming caller ID through the HFL doesn't search for an existing contact which would display a contact from our phones? Even if that phone number/contact is already uploaded and in your current contacts. Some kind of metadata sync I guess?

Look at how the number comes up on screen if its say 1(555)555-5555 make sure your contact is saved the same way because if your contact just reads 555-5555 it will not match and not read the name associated with it. Also ensure the contact list on car matches contact list on phone to a T (at least for the number your testing to see if name display works).

If not mistaken that was from another thread on the site that I read people having issues with.
