Big 3 Questions

I ran the 4 AWG power wire for my amp this weekend and would like to at least upgrade the battery-to-chassis ground wire. I guess you would call this a Big 1 upgrade . Would 2 AWG suffice or should I run 0 AWG? And I don't have crimpers to crimp that large of connector, so what do you guys think of the KnuKoncepts 0 AWG screw terminals?

i think you're over thinking things!

any wire that is larger than stock would be an "upgrade" whether it be 2 AWG or 0...

and any terminals that give a secure connection would work.

Yes, I do over think things. It's in my nature.

What I meant is that my amp specifies 4 AWG minimum so I'd want to increase the size of the battery-to-chassis ground wire by at least that much. Think I'll go with 2 AWG since I'm not drawing an awful lot of current anyway.

Those connectors got good reviews, although some complained that they aren't long enough and you can't get a good sized bolt on there.

I suppose I could just add a second ground wire in parallel and leave the factory ground in place. That would be easiest.

...although one foot of 16 AWG copper stranded wire has the same resistance as 17 feet of 4 AWG wire, so I could probably just remove the factory ground and be just fine with a 12" length of 4 AWG. Makes me wonder why people do the Big 3 with 1/0 AWG. Seems way overkill.
