Backup camera alignment

I don't know if it is just me but what I notice about the backup camera is the 2 vertical yellow lines seem more shifted to the right than centered with the car. If I back into a marked space (with lines on the ground) and line it up with the vertical lines on the screen with equal spacing on the left and right (nav screen lines and lines on the ground), the car is not centered in the parking space when I walk out to check, I notice it is closer to the right. I realize that I need the left line on the nav screen almost near the left line on the ground in order to properly center the car into the space. Does anyone else experience this?

You can change the alignment of those lines. You have to push Map/Menu/Info buttons together and go through some screens. I'll have to jump in the car and check it out later. I'll let you know what buttons they are.

Sorry, it's:

cancel/map/menu buttons together

that will bring up the diagnostic menu

select monitor check

then

monitor adjustment

then

tuning to adjust the lines on for the camera. Use the interface dial to control it left and right.

Thanks for the info, I have the same problem with the cam, I want to know the adjustment physically move the cam left and right or just moving the vertical 'yellow lines' around from the screen? I had adjust it to the far most already and still need to adjust it a bid more, so i wonder I have to physically adjust the cam from inside the trunk to make it center?

I just went out and checked my 2012 Advance and the buttons to push are Cancel/Guide-Map/Dest Route. There are all kinds of things to look at.

I found it you do You access the Maintenance Menu by:
With the car running or on accessory mode, turn off the radio, press and hold the 1, keep holding then press and hold the 6, keep holding then press and hold Vol/Power.

You should see A-Diag DIAG
Press the Phone button and hold about five seconds until you see the screen change then press the 2 once or if needed a few times until you see something like A-Diag 1.05.0 that is the HFL software version number. Don't press the 2 past the A-Diag UPDATE screen. You can exit by pushing the radio power button. Start over if needed.
