Audio Shops - Charlotte,NC

Okay, I have read numerous reviews about the MS-8 from JBL and with each review I get more and more anxious for plunking the cash to get one. Thanks to all who contributed in the other threads.

Im ready now.

Anyone know of a good installer in the charlotte region that I can trust with my Awesome car? I know there is Freeman's...but is there any other ones that do great work? How does one find a good installer if they are new to the region? word of mouth? internet search and read reviews? come to the shops and inspect there operations covertly?

<ka-plunk>

I just passed out from imagining how the sound will improve now!!

Whoever you decide to have the MS-8 installed remember not to connect the center channel to the processor. You will loose voice feedback and navi voice if you do. There is a work around but you will have to add another speaker and have it installed in a stealthy place. GOOD LUCK.

SeVuPlay,
Just a heads up, I've installed the unit and found an issue i'm working on. The unit sums all the channels into just left and right so you'll loose the 5.1 capibility if you have the ELS system. I'm still chasing it down with JBL and Crutchfield, but if i can't get it to stop summing, i'm replacing the unit with someting else. BTW I live in Charlotte and did the install myself. Not that i dont trust anyone, It's a release for me. Good Luck.

"Acura 276-watt Premium Sound System with AM/FM tuner, 6-disc in-dash CD, MP3, WMA changer, Dolby® Pro Logic® II and 8 speakers, including 8-inch subwoofer"

This is the system I have with the standard non-tech TL. Does this system not do 5.1? There is a center channel and a sub.

You should be good to go, the 5.1 Surround comes with the tech package.

You won't be able to get around the summing and losing the ELS 5.1. Search my threads and you will see the writeup on the MS-8 functionality.
