I just couldn't get out of my TL, the sound system is so awesome. The only think I wish they had in there is some smart sound set up, for example, rock/classics/Jazz all have different requirements for treble/bass/balance/woofer for the best effects, some times if you change that manually each time, it could be problematic

are u talking about the base sound system or the upgraded one? i've listened to the base one and was not that impressed. I've never seen a car that has rock/classic/jazz presents even bmw or Mb.

with the tech package, the 10 speaker system, it's much better than the ones in my house......

ELS kicks ass! If you haven't tried it yet, put a good DVD-A disc in - that will really blow you away.

Man, I completely agree with ya, it's just I haven't tried ripping sound tracks from DVD, I heard, the quality of ripped music is sorta disappointing.... I don't know why they don't allow to upload music from ipod to HDD, my iPod only got 8G, that HDD has a lot more to offer!

True this ELS is way better than the one I had in my '06 TL, by far. Wish they put the Bose system in this one though, like my last car the RL.

The stock ELS system is better than most, much better than my 04 TL, but it still lacks balls when you really push it. Upgrades are needed for tweekies and sound purists.
