Adding phone #'s to BT manually?

Am I overlooking something, or is there no way to manually add a phone number to the car's phonebook?

It appears from reading the manual and looking at the menus that the only way to add an entry is from the Call History or by importing the entire phonebook from the phone itself. Is this right?

With my previous Acuras, I'm pretty sure I could manually enter a name and number. What am I missing?

Yeah, it's just a nuisance to have to import the whole phonebook for one stinkin' number.

Oh, well.

i don't have an iphone, i have what my company gives me for a phone. So when i import my whole phone book it will give 3 listings for the same person if i have 3 phone numbers for them. So that is an issue for me because i have no idea what number it is.

Didn't I see in the manual that you can place an icon beside a number to designate that it's mobile phone, house phone, biz phone, etc.?

In this case, I have three different inputs to identify the numbers such as Bmode home, Bmode work, Bmode cell. I hear ya Mike it is rather silly, but it's a work around nevertheless. Importing the phone book isn't a big deal for me anyway, so i do it that way.

Hmmm, I got one entry with 3 phones in this case. I wonder if it depends on the phone you are using!!!
