Acuralink Phone Data Transfer

Has anyone set this up succesfully? I've tried many times with my HTC touch pro 2 as well as my droid with no success. I haven't tried my girlfriends blackberry storm or my blackberry tour workphone.

If anyone has set this up can you please post how you accomplished it, whether though the easy setup or custom setup.

Thanks.

I tried every configuration option with my TP2 also, even using multiple custom ROMs, and have never had any success. I even had it to the point where my TP2's status indicator was showing that the car was communicating with the internet, and it still didn't work.

I would love to figure this out too. We should probably take pics of the configuration screens and post them in a hardcore smartphone forum like xda-developers.com and see if the gurus over there would know exactly which settings to use.

Who's your wireless provider?

Does anyone know what having this feature gives you? I thought it was only to setup maintenance appointments with the dealer without calling.

Verizon for personal and ATT for business. It allows your car to communicate with the acuralink server to transfer vehicle data like diagnostic information as well as set service appointments.

I tried with my iphone and it failed on the config part. I gave up after a few minutes, will try later on to see if its something that is even beneficial to me.

Unhappy Acuralink

Have had numerous convo's, with C.S., & dealership; they're ALL clueless!
I have a BB9700/TMo/w FULL dataservice. TMo said it's Acura's problem, & vice-versa. The web-site says it's compatible.
Spoke to RIM to see if they had an answer; their reply was it SHOULD work/HA!
Doesn't anyone from Acura tech-support, know the answer?

BTW: no biggie, just annoying
