acura link - set up w/ phone??
acura link - set up w/ phone??
unclear as to what this is - send info about the car to acura?
and acura sends info to the car from xm?
anyway it asks if ok to use your data plan on the phone
tried the different carriers choices - 3 just for at&t - but said couldn't connect
anyone have this problem and figure it out?

bump.
When I paired the phone (bluetooth) w/ the car for phone calls...
(realize all this below has nothing to do w/ phone calls)
...that is when the screen menus somewhere I came across this part about acura -link. Anyone have any experience w/ acura link? Sounds a little like Onstar (w/o the accident notification) where they can get car status info. Not sure if any real value to whatever the acura link does. I think w/ BMW it can let the dealer know you need service (online).
My issue or problem: was the screen asks you if okay to use your phone's data plan (guess how it sends car info upstream to acura and I think downstream - to your car is via xm)
- so if you say okay to use phone's data plan - the next screen wants you to pick your phones service provider- lt had 3 diff choices for just at&t - I tried each of the at&t choices but - screen said failed to connect to the acura server.
instead of using the 'easy setup' there is even a 'custom' option - I looked at that - but was over my head - all modem config looking stuff. sorry for the drawn out story
