Activating traffic and weather

I have NavTraffic and NavWeather with my XM subscription, however it is not working in my 2012 Acura TL tech package. I talked to XM this evening and I was told I have to take my acura to a dealer and ask them to activate the traffic and weather features of my nav system. Is there a way to activate these options without having to take it into the acura dealer?

Find the radio fuse, pull it for 30 seconds and plug it back in, make sure you have your radio code handy. After that, log into your account and send a refresh signal to your car and see if that solves it.

On another note, I had XM + NavTraffic for a while and about a year ago I decided to cancel it and switch to using my phone, Google Maps + Pandora for music. I've never looked back. NavTraffic actually sucks and it's not very accurate and I was getting tired of calling XM just to threaten to cancel just to renew with promotional pricing. Google Map's is so much more accurate on traffic and you don't ever have to worry about paying for map updates.

What fuse is the Radio fuse on a 2012 Acura TL? I looked at my owners manual and there is no fuse specifically labeled as the "Radio" fuse

That happened to me once and I simply called XM and they refreshed the signal and all was good. I don't think you even have to call them anymore. You can log in to your account and click somewhere to send a refresh signal. That may be all you need. Worth a try.

Xm

I tried sending refresh signals to my car with no change. I called XM to have them troubleshoot my issue they said to call the dealer and have the features activated. Now I was told to pull the radio fuse but there are no fuses labeled radio.

Update: I cycled through to my traffic and weather signal status screen and it shows a message "Check Antenna". Is there anything I can do besides taking it to the Acura dealer?
