Accessory Mode

All,

Working to install an aftermarket shift knob on my TL SH-AWD, no problems with the install, but without the shift button, the car will stay in accessory mode when placed in park.

There is no way that I am aware of to turn the car completely off with the shift button permanently depressed.

Has anyone else come up with a fix or workaround?

the shift button should ground a wire to make the car think it's being pressed. You could always connect that ground to a switch that you can manually flip or have it trigger on with a signal of some sort so it works just like OEM. If I remember right it might be a purple wire that gets grounded.

Where do I find the ground? Inside of the shifter knob button once its exposed? Thanks for the info!
