4G speakers

How would I know if I have a blown speaker? I suspect that I have two blown speakers which my dealer refuses to acknowledge and insists it's because I'm playing the music too loud or I'm playing bad sound quality music. The reason I think the speakers are blown is because they sometimes, rattle, chirp and or breakup.

If they are blown is there a definite way for me to prove they are?

had a problem with mine about 2 weeks after I got the car. The tech said he did't hear a problem until we compared it to another car. Had the 2 rear speaker changed no problem since

How did you convince him to have a listen in another car, just with a simple request?

turn to an AM station and listen to a voice. You will then better hear the bad speaker. It will have a buzz to it. The dealer should hear that and cant blame it on your music.

It drives me nuts when they blame rattles, etc. on things like that. The subwoofer goes to "6" - if it couldn't handle 6, they would have limited it to "4.". Toyota did it with my Tacoma, but amazingly Acura had a fix for the rear-deck rattle in my TL.

My right front speaker developed a nice tear in it and the oem base subwoofer was awful all around. Replaced all speakers with aftermarket.

I could do that but I extended my warranty to 5yrs/120k miles, I'm not going to do that and then start doing repairs those pricks should be covering !

dude, you bought their product.
if you're not happy, stop by a dealership and express your concerns.
if no one hears you, try a different dealership.

The original speakers on the car have a known issue and have a serial number ending in A. When they replace your speakers they should have a serial number ending in B. Both of which are panasonic speakers built in mexico which are sub par.

I installed some infiniti reference speakers as replacements and am so much happier with the sq.
