2013 TL with Tech - ELS Question

New car to me last night!
But, The listening experience of Radio stations and XM Radio is not earth shattering, does the "DVD quality ELS 10 speaker" experience only happen on DVD's or HDD?

Thanks for the input!

Yep, the system seems to be tuned for DVD-Audio.
DVD-Audio sounds incredible and that's all I listen to. CD's, MP3's, XM, HDD, none of them have the same impact. DTS CD's are the only other option that sound decent.
Which is why it's strange that Acura is sticking with ELS but pulling out the ability to play DVD-Audio in newer models?
Bad move Acura.

From my observation a good quality CD also sounds pretty good. A little trick that I do (it is time consuming), I find loss less audio files of songs I like and copy them to a CD in the proper AUDIO CD format. It tricks the system to think it is original CD and copies the files to HDD and then I can play these from HDD. It actually sounds pretty decent. The CD has to be the one with the "Compact CD" marking/logo on it otherwise I was not able to make it work.
