Cool 2011 Acura TL SH-AWD w/ Tech Package iPhone Integration?

Hey Friends,

I'd like to inquire about how you guys feel about how well the Acura TL SH-AWD w/ Tech Package integrates the Apple iPhone 4?

1. How's bluetooth calling as far as quality, auto connection after pairing and others hearing you well?
2. Does music sound exceptional through the USB Aux?
3. Am I still able to control music through the iPhone directly when hooked up via USB Aux?
4. Is music streaming via bluetooth functioning?

Well thank you for reading and all responses in advance

No issues with auto connection after pairing. Had a couple of hiccups initially with sound quality, but those seem to have disappeared.

2. Does music sound exceptional through the USB Aux?

Sound through USB Aux is exceptional.

3. Am I still able to control music through the iPhone directly when hooked up via USB Aux?

No, you will not be able to control music through the iPhone when connected via USB. Channel the music via Bluetooth and you'll be able to control the music off of the iPhone.

4. Is music streaming via bluetooth functioning?

Yes, music streaming via bluetooth functions the last I checked. A2DP profile is present.

Well thank you for reading and all responses in advance
You're welcome

Music with an iPhone/ iPod never sounds exceptional. It's ok, but not exceptional.

Out of curiosity, which audio format, bitrate and connection do you listen to music in your car?

I use my iPhone as well: mp3 @ 256kbit/s .
But I listen to electronic music... Doesn't matter much there.
My Zune (the old 120GB one) sounds much better than the iPhone. I can hear the difference. Others agree on this as well.

Fair enough, I'm wondering if it's an issue with WMA decoding vs AAC/MP3 decoding and the such (I suppose it could be on the encoding end as well)

Good deal, thank you friends.

I think I'll want the ability to control directly through my iPhone at certain times. Has anyone noticed an audio quality difference between hooking up their iPhone/iPod via USB Aux vs. the Headphone Jack?

Thank you friends!!

If you're saying that bitrate doesn't matter on electronic music (EDM) well... I dunno about that one...

I mainly listen to EDM and rock and in both of those generes there is a HUGE difference between the higher bitrate and lower bitrate because there are so many highs, mids and lows.

It's mostly in rap music or hiphop where there isn't a HUGE difference between say 192kbps and 256kbps.
