2009 w/Tech - any phone preference

I just bought a 2009 TL w/Tech and am having a fantastic time in a sedan again.

I've had an android phone for the past couple of years and love it. It connects via blue tooth and streams audio just fine.

My question is that is there any reason to switch to an iPhone for this vehicle? is the interface/control any better?

If you like your Android phone I'd say just stick with it. My wife and I both have our Droid's synced to the TL. We have an ipod that stays in the console hooked up the the stereo all the time. We don't have any music on our phones.

Congrats and welcome to the forum. What shadetree said. I have no troubles with my Iphone 4 (I don't use it for music) but if you are happy with your droid there's no reason to change.

Same here, I have the iPhone 4s connected, prevously had a Blackberry. All my music is via an iPod. If what you have works for you, stay with it.

When I got my '11, I had a Motorola Droid. It worked just fine, except it was never able to establish an AcuraLink connection. When my Verizon contract was up I switched to an iPhone 4S. Again, everything currently works fine except the AcuraLink connection. If you are happy with the Droid, I do not see any advantage to switch to an iPhone, unless of course, you want one. It's my experience both phones work well with the HFL and Bluetooth, save for the AcuraLink.

I use an iphone4S for pandora over bluetooth, as well as handsfree. Works fine - steering wheel controls don't always work over bluetooth with the skip buttons, but otherwise is great.

blackberry is the best, ive had several blackberries through out the time i had my tl, all of them connected without issues and bb has the option to switch your calls from BT to handheld during a call. also all contacts transfer with no issues. everything works flawless. even bt music.

i had andriod, but the bt doesnt connect as fast as the bb. also the bb has the a lifespan of 2 days just off regular use over any android or iphone
