I searched posts and most talk is about the tech package. On fm and xm, my rear sound is muffled or non-existent. Pretty lousy on CD's too, cetainly not a full surround sound. Acura replaced speakers and amplifier to no avail. Is it the case that it is just inferior? anyone know what brand is in base model ?
Just want some advice as to whether I have to live with it. I really don't want to upgrade because I may trade in in a couple of years.

Sure dawg, keep telling yourself that. Lemme guess you have a base model? Have you ever stepped foot in a Tech? I'm also assuming not.

Get your facts straight before you decide to jump in a thread and your mouth like that. Just a hint if you care about saving face on here. Ya dig?

 

On the Base model you need to turn the subwoofer down and up the bass to the max point of clarity and then crank the volume way up. Believe it or not, a good bass line comes through that doesn't make your trunk rattle or sound muffled.
