Hi Folks,

I have 2010 TL and received a letter to update 2013 Navi at $149 with free shipping.

I know my navi is old and doesn't show some major road changes around the area, Washington D.C. metro, including Northern VA and MD.

Is there anyone who knows the recently opened 495 Express lanes are included on this update?

If not, I don't need to spend that much.

Since the new expressways just opened, I'm sure they will not be updated on the disk u are asking about.

 

Wish there were someone you could call, to determine why some roads are just NOT covered.
Puzzling, because in NYC, the Belt Parkway, from Flatbush Avenue to Long Island is NOT covered. It's a major thoroughfare.
Also Ocean Parkway, Coney Island Avenue, Prospect Expressway,Ocean Avenue, ditto.
Calling XM is useless; they're clueless
Looking at the coverage map is no help at all
Any suggestions?
PS: I have a '12 TL/SH AWD/Tech, & I had an '09 TL, before that

No, you can fall as far behind as you like. There's little sense in updating every year really. At least around my place there hasn't been a road I've driven on that wasn't in my map in almost 2 years.
