Question is, will both your DRL's and AE's be lit? Or is there a way to only have the AE's on (without losing your high beams). Also, once your headlights come (when DRL's are off), will your AE's be off?

It may be best to wire them to a switch.

First put your key in the ignition, lay in a course for your nearest BMW dealer and buy a BMW.

Ya i think that will be the way to do it.

Ive also seen people wire it to the puddle lights or dome light so when you unlock the car it has a fade effect. The problem is that the light shuts off when the car is on.

Where'd you get them from? Are you doing the install yourself?

If you pull the fuse for your DRL's do the high beams still work?

http://www.umnitza.com/acura-acura-t...4mtm65doqetkq6

I got the Orion V2 which is 5X brighter than the nearest kit, should be really bright.

I think its the same kit as omgthedonny

He's putting them in the housing for you? What's the turn around time on that? I was thinking of getting mine blacked out but wasn't sure how long my car would be out of comission for. Are your headlight housings black?

Ya hes blacking them out, leaving the ridges silver. Also clearing the amber, halos and swapping tsx-r lenses in.

The turn around is around a week i think but hes got an exchange set so my car is only out of comission for an afternoon. Then I ship him mine back.

That's perfect if he has an exchange set. I think I might do mine as well if he still has an exchange set available. Are they difficult to remove?

Probably not too bad but its kinda cold out so im going to get custom car and truck to do it. The exchange set will likely be my current headlights.

Ive actually had alot of problems with them. I would not recommend the orion v2 halos. The manufacturer has a lifetime warranty on the parts but getting them out is alot of work.

Mine failed a month in, ive disabled them. He assured me it was a problem with just my batch and new ones would be fine. This problem has been widely reported so i decided to cut my losses and just leave them unplugged.

I had a problems with my old halo setup as well. The ring was actually two leds and after 1/2 a year one of the power connecting points on the halo became loose/broken and only 1/2 the halo would light up. JnC offered to fix it for me and said he knew what the problem was but I didn't want to deal with the hassle; I had them removed.

Were yours the Umnitza rings too, as 2LEDs sounds different than the Orion V2

Once they release the xDrive version of the re-design I definitely consider it.

Is it a design fault and all Orion products will end up failing like this, or is it an one-of-a-kind failure occurrence ?

I remember don't remember the brand JnC installed, since I had them removed for over 5 months, sorry.

Giddy as cool as they looked when they're functioning the reliability issues aren't worth it.

Its widely reported, they claimed it was a problem with the batch and the new batch would be ok.

In the 3g forums the issue is commonly found with the orion v2s.

They have a lifetime waranty but It really doesnt matter since its such a hassle to get at them again to replace them
