Window Belt Molding

I have an 09 TL with deteriorating rubber window strips. Is there any other options outside of buying the $83 per trim from Acura? It’s such a small thing that I can’t justify spending some much.

If it's starting to lift up or a small piece missing use some silicone to put it right again.

This is the move, they're just cosmetic.

Although it is a cosmetic piece the rubber strips have deteriorated so water gets inside the door panel. The chrome piece is fine it’s just that little strip of rubber but unfortunately I’m not sure there’s a way to change it without buying a brand new unit

You can attempt to remove the glass weatherstrip using the direction below; however, if this route is taken, IMHO, just spend the money and get the correct parts to justify a proper OEM finish.
Or, maybe you can fab-up some kind of alternative?
If so, I'd like to see how the final 'fit & finish' all turns out.

Front Door Window Glass Weatherstrip: Service and Repair
Front Door Glass Outer Weatherstrip Replacement

NOTE:
-Put on gloves to protect your hands.
-Take care not to scratch the door.
-Take care not to damage the rear hook in the weatherstrip because it cannot be replaced separately.
1.Remove these items:
-Door panel Front Door Panel Removal/Installation
-Door panel bracket Service and Repair
-Plastic cover, as needed Service and Repair
-Power mirror Power Mirror Replacement
2.Raise the glass fully.
3.Remove the screw from the rear edge of the door.

4.From the inside of the door, slide the clips (A) on the door glass outer weatherstrip, (B) to release the hooks (C) from the flanges (D) on the door panel.

5.Pull up the door glass outer weatherstrip, (A), then remove the weatherstrip.
6.If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
7.Before installing the door glass outer weatherstrip, slide the clips to the released position as in step 4.
8.Install the front door glass outer weatherstrip, and slide the clips securely on to the flanges.
9.Reinstall all remaining removed parts.
NOTE: Make sure the plastic cover on the door is installed properly and sealed around its outside perimeter to seal out water.
