I have a 2011 TL and want to replace the plastic beak with a _OEM_ chrome beak. (Not really feeling the aftermarket grilles). Acura parts store only have the chrome tail piece but not the grille. The grille has been discontinued.
I've tried a few spots like bernardi, acuraoemparts (something like that) and a few other shops. Although they still list the part for sale, when I call to verify availability, "the part has been discontinued". I would think Acura would stock parts for at least 7 years but I guess not. It hasn't even been 4 and the part is discontinued.
Any advice on how to get hold of the chrome OEM grille? Thanks in advance.
I found my chrome grille on Ebay last year. I would think there are more there as, I do not see many chrome grilles in my area. In fact I seem to be the only one.
I was looking for the dark chrome sport grill for awhile also, never could find it. Ended up buying a new grill from partsgeek, about $190 shipped for both pieces. They are aftermarket and needed the mounting hole drilled out but fitment was good. The "beak" looks chrome and the surround piece is satin. I also bought the 3m scotchgard pro clear bra for the grill from invisiblemask for about $70 shipped. Once the clear bra was installed they both look chrome now.
